Emilee Mathews Will Present "Using Pop Culture to Teach Visual Literacy" on Friday, October 19th at LIM College
Emilee Mathews is the Interim Director of the Fine Arts Library at Indiana University in Bloomington. She earned her master’s degrees in Art History and Library Science at Indiana University in 2011. As the director of the Fine Arts Library, she provides vision for the public services of the library, actively participates in the School of Fine Arts’ teaching mission, and works closely with faculty and graduate students to achieve research excellence. She is looking forward to presenting her research on teaching visual literacy through popular culture in her collaborations with apparel merchandising, fashion design, studio art, and art history faculty at IUB.
On Friday, October 19th and Saturday, October 20th professionals from the fashion industry, libraries, archives, academic institutions, publishers, and museums will gather at LIM College for Fashion: Now & Then, a conference on the past, present, and future uses of fashion information that will consist of lectures and panel discussions.
